Nano + Altec Lansing M602

We have a newly purchased iPod Nano 4th gen and a new altec speaker system.. The system is built for iPod use specifically and works fine with all iPods but the 4th gen Nano, which does not charge while docked into the system.. Does anyone know if there will be a firmware update to fix this problem, which is occurring with several speaker systems, or if we need to just swap out the speakers?

Thank you Deggie, I was starting to cry here because I too have the M602 I hope this works,If not I will have to buy anew docking station 😉

Before I blow a gasket, do you know if there are adapters for other accessories such as the iHome 2go, and the like? After surprising my wife with this new iPod and not being able to use it with my Bose unit, to say I'm Pi**ed would be an understatement!! Thanks

If you went to the link it shows a picture of that adapter in use with a Bose Sounddock. Should work with the iHome also.

Hi guys I have the same problem with my m602 when I us a gen 4 nano. I picked up the adapter at the apple store and everything is good. The guys at the apple were a bit confused when explained what was going on. The adapter works great.
