Charging iPod Touch & playing music at the same time

Hey guys!

I have a Belkin charging kit for home & car, and I noticed that when I plug in the charger, the device doesn't play any sounds. However, if I'm charging it with my computer (using the cord that came with the device), the speakers and headphone jack plays audio perfectly. So when the iPod Touch is charging with a wall mount or car charger, does the audio automatically cuts off or is it just me?

I am having the exact same problem! It was pretty disappointing when I got this and plugged it in to charge while playing my music in my car and it cut the music off :\ It may be the model of the charger...Anyone else have a car charger that allows you to play music while charging your ipod touch in the car?

Hi!
I have a 2008 toyota camry and had to change my Aux connection for my 2nd Gen touch. All sound for the AUX, I believe comes from the connector not the 3.5 jack (HeadPhones only). The 2nd gen does not support the old firewire charging, so some of the third party cables will not charge a 2nd gen touch and the 3.5 jack is only good for headphone now. Check this one out.
I bought this one, though the price was a little steep $49.00

Yeah I saw those in Target yesterday...Man it's crazy because I'm charging my iPod right now in my computer but I can still listen to it while it is charging on my computer. Wish it worked the same in the car with the $15 chargers instead of having to shell out another 40-50 bucks for a charger just to listen to your music in the car while charging. Frustrating that it does not work the same way in the car as it does on the computer :\ Oh well...
