transfering music from windows media player???

*I honestly don't use Windows Media Player so I can't help you transfer your music from there to iTunes, I only use iTunes.

Actually, I did my own little research and played around with Windows Media Player.

There's a "Sync" button on top of Windows Media Player. I clicked on it, you select your playlist (I don't have a playlist to select). I'm assuming you connect your iPod and it automatically syncs. You don't have to transfer your songs from Windows Media Player, then iTunes, then your iPod.

I'm not sure if you can use both iTunes and Windows Media Player to sync your iPod with music, so I'm assuming you have to choose one.

Do you know what format your music is in? Are they MP3, WMA or others? If WMA, where did you get them? Rip from CDs or downloaded from online stores such as Napster or Musicmatch? What version of Windows Media Player are you using?

have you looked for the saved (windows media player) music file? if you have found it, you can simply click, drag, and drop the file into your itunes library. my friend sent me a song (via email) from a cd that she had, and it was a windows media player file. i just dragged and dropped the file into my itunes library, and itunes converted the file for me.
