Perish the thought that I'd actually be looking for a hack in these discussions - but that doesn't stop me adding to the collective frustration over the EU volume cap or, indeed, hoping for a solution of any description from any source.

Ah, yes, a booster amp may be exactly what's needed here - been researching them and in a pickle as to which are best - but that's probably a different subject, so will post a new thread asking for tips/experiences etc...
