screen flicker resolved?

yep, same problem from day one. Don't know what to do.

so far this has not been resolved // check the forum there are many other posts with this problem maybe one of the troubleshooting steps in a post will help maybe not.

If yours is a reproducible-at-will issue, take it in. Apple need to know how many laptops are affected, and taking your laptop in for fixing is the best way of letting them know how widespread the issue is.

(Even if it isn't reproducible-at-will and is just random, I'd still take it in, for the same reasons.)

Is this the problem with flickering when scrolling in SAFARI and other apps? If so, I may know what Apple has to say about this...

no, it's a different issue. Like a pulsing, slight flicker on low brightness levels.

No, mine "blinks" instead. (The screen flashes black for a fraction of a second; can be the whole screen, or just part of it. It always starts at the top of the screen, but sometimes it doesn't work all the way down the the bottom.) It's totally random -- does it on battery and mains power, when fully charged or charging, can do it within the first 5 minutes of being switched on (from off) during the day or it can do it after several hours, and as I haven't put my MBP under a high load I don't think it's related to how heavily I'm using it. Sometimes it'll only blink once over 7 or 8 hours, other times it'll be several times an hour. I've had the LCD panel replaced (didn't fix it)... next stop will be to replace the logic board if the technician can see it happening for himself.

This is what happened to mine..

The first time it happened they replace the whole lcd/topcase.

back in repair now and they are swapping the Logic board.

I'll let ya'all know how it goes when it comes back (14Days so far and counting...)

yes,my MBP same problem from new.

Same problem here. Random screen flicker/flashing that happens every so often (like every 5-10 min). Dissapointing upgrade from the last MBP I had since that machine was flawless! Also my battery life is noticablly shorter with this new model, doing the same work and with the graphics card turned for better battery life. Bummer Apple!
