Getting MacBook To Display Fullscreen On TV Using HDMI cable

I've got my Macbook connected to my TV through a Mini-DVI to DVI and DVI to HDMI cable. My TV serves as a second screen so I have to move my Quick Time Player over into the TV screen to watch movies.

Problem is, when I hit Command + F to make it go fullscreen, it goes fullscreen, but on my computer, NOT on my TV. Is there any way to get it to go fullscreen on my TV other than stretching it (which doesn't make it completely fullscreen anyway)?

Thanks if anyone can help

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Judging from what you've said, you're just using your HDTV as a secondary monitor, and not a primary one. While your MacBook is open, it will only mirror what is on the laptops screen. If you want it to fill the TV screen completely, you'll need to shut the lid on the laptop, let it fall asleep (white light begins to pulsate) and then wake it up. Of course, if you don't have another keyboard/mouse to use then you can't do this. Otherwise, you should have the TV screen completely filled.

I actually use my HDTV as a primary monitor and the only way to get it to work is if the lid is shut.

Hope this helps.
