iwork '08 upgrade to iwork '09

i just recently purchased a new macbook pro for christmas, an add-on was the iworks '08 package i paid for. Now a couple of weeks later i see iworks '09 is available??

Am I eligible for a free upgrade? if so whats the procedure to do so...

I will be highly annoyed if I am not, as there was no mention of iworks '09 on the sales page as an option when I was purchasing..!!

tks.

I think most of people see the difference... The problem is that most of people does not understand why Apple is so unfriendly to their customers in some matters that other companies care about routinely. We like MACs, we like OS X, we would like to like Apples attitude but, unfortunately, we can't.

That seems a reasonable course of action. The "wait" part is optional.

iWork '09 is currently available at Apple stores and other retailers, and the thirty day trial version can be downloaded now, and purchased online if you choose that route.

I purchased an iMac on January 5th along with iWorks '08, which I did install. And then, this week, received an email about iWorks '09. I returned to the retail store where I purchased it, and asked to exchange it for iWorks '09, and this was cheerfully accommodated for an extra $20 because of the difference in price between iWorks '08 and iWorks '09. So 'free' upgrade .. no. Satisfied customer ... yes. Perhaps others can also be treated in this fair(just) manner.

Adam,

Sandy's in Canada, where the prices for iWork '08 in December were 79 and 99. iWork '09 is currently 99 and 129.

Sandy, I'd be interested in knowing which retailer it was, as I'm in a somewhat similar situation. My email address is listed in my profile. Click my name to the left of this message to get there.

Same problem in Germany
I think apple doesn't interest their clients, the have to pay (double), because apple left them without information to sell the old productes with high prices.
The most important thing for apple is playing with computers and earn a lot of money, clients ? they only have to pay and then the should be quiet, because we are apple
I'm now sorry, my wife's name is Jobs.

The story in german:

Hallo,

Michael
