International travel (South America/Chile) and adapter/converter questions

I am traveling to Chile in South America and want to make sure I will be safe using my macbookpro with just a simple adapter (no power converter) - http://shop1.frys.com/product/1769498?site=sr:SEARCH:MAINRSLTPG

I understand the the plug and adapter that came with the computer should allow an input range of 110 - 240 (Chile is 220) but I have read on forums of people's notebook getting fried.

Anybody know what else I could get to be safe or should I be ok with just a standard adapter?

All you need is a plug adapter like the one you linked above. As you state, the MBP's power adapter runs on 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz. I've used mine in Europe, Africa, etc., with just the appropriate lpug adapter.

I go to Santiago annually and all you need is the round pin adapter. If you have any dollar stores in your neighborhood look there first as several of them where I live (my neighbourhood is pretty ethnically diverse) sell them for 99 cents.
