Soundsoap as Garageband Plug-in

I do own Soundsoap, but I'm unaware of the nature of an audio unit, where to find or how to identify it. I don't see it on any of the Soundsoap menus.

Could you please explain a bit more in detail.

Sorry to be dense, but for a real instrument track under "effects" on the Track Info pane I see a list of about ten things which begins "No effects", and ends "Zapper". Nowhere do I see Soundsoap. Also, the less than helpful Help utility for Garageband lists many effects like "echo" and "flanger" under the topic "How to use effects" and mentions popups boxes, but I can't find any of this. What basic settings should I look to?
