Windows problem - NTLDR missing and then total corruption.

Hi, I am one of them purchased the new MBP in October and happily using for three months, until a few days ago Windows XP failed to open (bootcamp or parallel) with the same message, "NTLDR is missing". Thinking that I just had to re-install XP, I have asked a tech person to reinstall for me. Then I am not sure what he did. Basically he said he was not able to fix the issue, and when it came back worse with the Windows partition gone and attempt to re-format with bootcamp assistant failed saying "Verification failed, this disk cannot be partitioned, use disk utility to repair the disk". The disk utility cannot verify and says "this volume of HD needs to be repaired" and "Error: Filesystem verify or repair filed". I should not have give up my MBP, ever..... Any idea what's next? Should I wipe off my HD? Or needs to take it to the "Genius"?

MacBook Pro 15", Mac OS X (10.5.6)
