Itunes froze now NANO is frozen with "CONNECTED" showing on nano screen!!!

Hello
Itunes froze, so i couldn't eject the ipod. I then tried to eject it in the Windows task bar, this then froze. So i restarted the computer and took out the ipod and now the nano is truly frozen with "connected" stuck on the screen, the ipod is totally unresponsive.
Please advise
Thank you much

I have a similar problem. The screen lights up and I can see the menu list but everything is frozen. pushing buttons doesnt do anything. I have followed all instructions for resetting ( ie middle button/menu hold down), reconnecting to pc, and even restoring from itunes (which deleted all the music I had stored).

I fully charged my 4 day old IPOD NANO 4th generation with an external charger that was sold to me as a bundle from Best Buy. Perhaps that caused the problem.
Regardless this *****. I am going to try to let the battery die if I can to see if it resets it. I am still going to return this to Best Buy for a replacement if they will permit it.
