Could someone step up and proclaim that their iPhone works with Chrysler's Uconnect (without MyGig) via Bluetooth on update 2.2 WITH contacts on their phone?
hmm. I dont know if I have that, I havent driven my car for a couple of days, but will check hopefuly tonight.
Now I will say this, when I have my iPhone hooked up via an aux cord to my aux jack, I can hear people through my speakers and they can clearly hear me talk to them through the microphone on the phone, even if the phone is by my lap.
But they always hear an echo of themselves through the speakers every time they talk because of a delay in technology I suppose.
How do I get around this?
How does this blue tooth feature not have the same problem?
I also am having the same problem of connecting/disconnecting. I called Chrysler yesterday and they said it's an issue with version 2.2.1 Supposedly they are working on it with Apple and it will be fixed in the next version
Nope - I get a company car about every 3 years. Turned in the 2007 Town & Country with uconnect and NEVER had a problem. Pick up the 2009 Journey, the uconnect button is on the radio, but not installed, so I come up with the 300 bucks to get uconnect since I am now addicted to the convenience. Same problem as everyone else. I can pair the iPhone, but then constant cycling of the bluetooth, and also the radio shows a "phonebook downloading" message - which sounds like what others have described as the contact issue.
I am not happy about this, but glad to see I am not alone...
I was also having this problem with my Challenger (MyGig, no Nav). After downgrading my phone to 2.1 it works fine. However, this of course is not an acceptable solution as 50% of my apps don't work now. Is there any confirmation that this will be fixed with 3.0?
great news! I installed the iPhone 3.0 GM and it now works with the factory installed uconnect in my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee REQ (non-nav, non-myGig) 6-day cd/dvd radio. Prior to installing the 3.0 software, I was on iPhone 2.2.1 and it did not work. Looks like Apple finally solved the problem!!!!
