I've got the 880 and it works pretty darned well too. Actually had to do some extensive programming with it (Logitech support is AWESOME-they even taught me how to do it on my own so I didn't have to keep calling them). The extensive programming came with the crazy setup I've got (AV reciever, ATV, PS3, Wii). You'll like any Harmony remote as far as I can tell.

i have the harmony one, and still haven't got it set up perfect yet.

not specifically with the appletv, but with the "activity" it turns everything on OK, but doesn't change the amp to the correct output (even though it is programmed to do so).

every other activity works perfect. i believe it is something to do with the delay timings or something. just haven't sat down and worked thru it all yet.

Yeah, there's always an issue with timing and delays. I got around this by simply adding in a soft key option of just selecting the channel from my display. So on my display, now it shows my different surround sound optoins (I like to change them around according to what I'm watching) and then the ability to switch the channels on the TV and the AV over to the correct one. (ie. my PS3 is on HDMI1 but my ATV is on HDMI2..so I put an option to change the channel to HDMI2 on the ATV screen and an option to change the channel to HDMI1 on the PS3 screen.)

It's a LOT faster than waiting for hte help process to go through. I just disabled hte help option completly.

i press the "watch appletv" activity.
it turns all other devices off.
turns on the appletv.
but doesn't change the amp to "DVD" even though the activity is set to do it.

i press help, it goes thru and corrects the problem, but it never saves it. every time i select the activity i have to press help to get it to fix the problem.

Yeah, I believe the Logitech guy said that they're working on the firmware to get the remotes to "remember" the help process you went thorugh so you don't have to do it.

Use my workaround, the amp will switch to whatever you want if you add the button to do so. Do you know how to add those? I do'nt have my remote in front of me but you're basically adding that button to choose DVD (or whatever outputy ou need the amp to switch to).

i will try and get it working properly first. afterall, that's what it is supposed to do 😀

i've also changed it to "appletv is always on", as the power on and power off process was just annoying. and besides, often i look up and see that the appletv has turned itself on anyway, so the remote gets confused when it thinks it should be off.

i had the Harmony 550 but some of the buttons stopped working so i now have a Harmony One both worked fine.

the only problem with the 550 i had was that for some reason i couldn't get the maintenance menu (press and hold menu + down arrow) to work... always had to use the appleTV remote for that.. actually haven't tried it with the harmony One as my appleTV has been pretty stable for quite a while now.
