mouse won't scroll down

Hi everyone - this is probably and easy one, but as of this morning my mouse scroll ball only lets me scroll UP a page, not down. I tried cleaning with a damp cloth as instructed in the Support section, and tried restarting the computer but no dice. Can anyone advise? thanks!

imac G5 powerpc isight, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

It worked for me as well!
Concerning that a 2 month old system would encounter this issue.

Try rolling the ball a whole lot. If that does not work, you can try using a drop of rubbing alcohol. Mine does the same thing all the time. Also try turning on and off bluetooth.

Who knew a piece of paper could be so useful! Vigorous rubbing and viola...mouse is Mighty again!
