bug in audio adjustment?

Hi there,

I am just trying the new imovie09-features and so far I was very happy.

But now I am not sure if I have found an bug in audio adjustment. I added an mp3-File to some clips. It seems that there is no effect, if I adjust the audio (volume or fade-in/-out).
After I seperated audio from video (new feature in movie09), I can't adjust volume or fade-in/-out as well for that new generated audio???

Has anybody the same problem?? Thanks for every note.

Regarding Themes titles and transitions, I am not sure about your set up.
It would be helpful to see a screenshot of what your project looks like.
If you are extending titles/cutaways/PIP over transitions, transitions will not be visible.

Are you changing the speed of your clips? Do you use ducking?

Same thing is happening to me although I am not using a theme. Leading up to certain clips I get the audio of the clip coming up for a little while before the clip is seen. In some shots I get no audio at all although there should be. Everything looks fine in imovie and only occurs in the exported movie in the same spots no matter how many times its exported.

Do any of your clips have speed adjustments, ducking and/or fade-in and fade-out applied to them?

80 % slow motion is applied as well as the Romantic video affect. This is to the clip whose audio I can hear overtop of the prior clip.

Ducking is not applied to that section, though I am using it in a few places. I have some clips slowed down here and there, including in this section, but the same problem happens in several places where it is not turned on.

Yeah... after looking through my video again, I don't think it's the theme transitions anymore.

It seems as though its picking up the audio from the upcoming clip. If I have slo-mo on in the next clip it even slows down the audio even though my audio should be 0%.

In your FILE/PROJECT PROPERTIES

do you have it set to lengthen clips for transitions or to cut some frames for the transitions while keeping the overall project the same length?

Don't have that option in my Properties but I have not touched anything that was default other than turning on advanced editing in Preferences.

Same here. That's not an option in the prefs, and I haven't messed with any of the defaults.

This box will come up if you select a theme and check the box for "Automatically Add transitions and Titles". It goes away unless you are making a global change to all transitions that are already there.

Not using a theme in my video so no, I do not have that option selected.
