No Thumbnails in Cover Flow View

I used to be able to view all image files at the top of the windo in cover flow view. Now, instead of showing me the image, it shows me icons. Like .jpg's show up as a preview icon. I want to see the image itself so I don't have to open every file. Isn't this the point of cover flow? Help! Thanks.

Have you tried relaunching Finder (option-clicking the dock icon)?

Try also trashing Finder's preference file (in (your home folder)/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist).

I have the same problem -- it worked about three weeks ago, but suddenly Finder doesn't show the jpegs in coverflow anymore.
I tried what you recommended, pullman, but to no avail...
HELP!?

Off and on I have the same problem with not seeing the image thumbnails in cover flow.

When this happens, I force quit the finder (command optionesc) and then I see the thumbnails.

Don't have a clue why this method works but it does for me!
