Slideshow music from iPhoto

I just got a 60G iPod Photo and it's great but when I select Slideshow Settings>Music>From iPhoto I get silence from the iPod when I play a slideshow. It works fine if I select anything other than "From iPhoto". I have made sure the song is on the computer and the iPod and it is selected in iPhoto. I am running 10.3.9, iPhoto 5.0.2 and iTunes 4.7.1.

Any ideas?

David- I feel your pain, but the function seems to be nothing but nonsense:

The only way to add music to pictures in iPhoto is by creating slideshows (I have not found a way to add music to albums - have you?).

The only thing you can synch to iPod is albums, not slideshows.

Go figure.

The menu item "Music - from iPhoto" just does not make sense.

I really want to get a ipod photo for presntations. Can you fully sync a iphoto slidshow with the original music and transitions? Have they upgraded for this yet?

No, they haven't.

You may choose several new transitions on the iPod with the 1.1 update - but that has nothing to do with the slideshows from iPhoto - as I said: slideshows cannot be synched with iPod - only albums.

I am having the same problem. If you can only sync albums, how do you specify the music to play with that album? It seems you can only do that with slideshows.

I also have the same problem. It does not make sense to me that the menu item Settings>Music>From iPhoto would be there if this were not possible. The on-line tutorial mentions this functionality so either this is a bug or we are doing something wrong. Help anyone?

I have also had problems with the setting: Slideshow Settings>Music>From iPhoto. I can't get any music to play from this option. I've tried to view slideshows on my tv and no luck with this music option. This seems to be a glitch with the ipod photo. I contacted Apple and left a formal complaint. If anyone has any luck getting this option to work, please let me know. Thank you

Ok - this doesn't really help, but I am glad to know I am not the only one having this problem. I went in and turned of Ken Burns effects, etc. etc. thinking maybe it would then allow me to sync my slideshows, too, but no luck. Would love to know how "music from iPhoto" is supposed to work!

Ditto here except my music has played with slideshow on tv and iPhoto on my mac, but not the iPod itself. Plugged it in again today and no music at all with the slideshow.
I've posted in other areas but NO response.
