two-strip technicolor effect

I am trying to simulate a two-strip technicolor effect in Color. I have some footage that needs a vintage look; its a take-off of a 40s PSA style commercial.

Anyone have any advice? Right now I am basically just tweaking by eye in primary and Fx rooms. Was wondering if anyone out there has a more scientific approach.

I found this video on the two-strip process, but being new to Color its taking me a while to deconstruct. Worth watching anyway:

Well, Initial Color at the top is .5 gray, the ADDs default to times .5, you need to change that to 1.0, I tried to structure it so that the RGB splits were positioned like that - R - G - B from left to right...

Oh - and the Two Strip RGB merge at the bottom gets R G G.

Anything else you wanna know?

I've been playing around with this.

I take the red channel and multiply it by red.

I take the average of the green and blue channels and multiply it cyan.

Then I sum the two.
