DVD Player says skipping over damaged area, disk is fine
I made a movie for my parents and when they play it in their iMac they get the following error during playback,"skipping over damaged area." and it just hangs there. It made it to 6 minutes the first time, then made it to 3 minutes then makes it to one minute. It seems like it occurs at different times.I made the movie using iMovie 09 and iDVD. I put the dvd in a cheap dvd player and it played it all the way through the entire movie w/o any problems.
I tried searching the forums and I have not found a similar problem. My iMac is a mid 2008 model and the super drive is a Matshita DVD-R UJ-875.
Thanks

I think you are right. I am flying by my parents house and I will call AppleCare and see if they are aware of the issue and see if I can find a fix. Will post back with results.
Thanks, I tried to get it to duplicate at my parents house so I could call Apple, but it wouldn't do it. Let me know if they fix it, it is crap that such a great machine cannot play a simple DVD.
