Can anyone pleasem help me

my hold button is broken.
the nearest apple store is an hour and a half away and my parents mmight not go.
if i do the advanced repair service for iphone what do i do?
it said i get the replacement then send my orignal iphone in.
my mom doesnt want to pay the cost of a new iphone so if i have to pay the replacement value can i just keep the orignal phone?

Nobody here can really answer that with any certainty as we cannot speak for Apple. You'll have to call Apple support for a definitive answer.

If you don't live near an Apple store, you can call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466 and handle everything over the phone. If AppleCare determines that your iPhone needs to be exchange under warranty, AppleCare will ship you the exchange to your door. You will use the same box to return the iPhone that is being exchanged to Apple. This doesn't involve paying the cost of a new iPhone - not if your iPhone is being exchanged under warranty. AppleCare will request a credit card number in case you don't return the iPhone that is being exchanged under warranty within a designated period of time. You will be charged the full amount for the iPhone that was shipped to you for the exchange - $399 for the 8GB, or $499 for the 16GB if you don't return the iPhone that is being exchanges under warranty.
