Can I use itunes gift card to rent HD Movies in Canada?

I know that in Canada I cannot use itunes gift cards to buy Apps in the Apps store, but can I use them to rent movies on my Apple TV? I am looking to get a large gift card with my credit card points and will not do that if they cannot be used in movie rentals. Thanks for the heads up. Ian

Yes you can buy movies, TV Shows and music using gift cards. You can not buy software, payed for updates on iPod touchs and Apps, with gift cards. I don't understand why, they claim due to some Canadian tax or trade rule.

I prefer to manage my iTunes purchases with gift cards, sometimes payed for with my credit card, which I would say is the same thing.
