WMV plug in for Quicktime?

If you have problems playing files with the plugins you can try [VLC player|http://www.videolan.org/vlc> which plays a large variety of format files.

The Perian set is a bunch of multi-format plugins, although it doesn't include WMV - it's more for FLV.

Uh, for playing WMV all you needed was the free basic version of Flip4Mac. HTe pay versions are for added features such as encoding.

What won't open? The .dmg file? The program itself? I don't actually use Flip4Mac (preferring VLC).

Actually I have never used this because I just use VLC. It looks like the player version is just one of the trial versions without purchasing the license to enable the advanced features.

after it is installed you will see a preference pane in your System Settings for Flip4Mac WMV under the "Other" settings.... make sure all of the pertinent boxes are checked in the preference pane to ensure that it is going to play WMV files in QT.

strange, ive been using it for a year or two now i think.

did you try repairing your permissions and such?
did you try the free player from the link i sent you after they refunded your money?
