For years I've only used Shift/F13 for an Action in Photoshop (CS2) -- rotate 90 degrees anticlockwise. Today, F13, with or without Shift, suddenly takes a screenshot and puts .png files on my desktop. I have all Keystrokes switched off in System Prefs, and I've now even trashed Grab (I use Snapz Pro X or Screenflick anyway). I've repaired the Preferences, run TechTool Pro 4 over my discs, and restarted. Nothing makes any difference: F13 still takes a screenshot. What could make my iMac suddenly decide to do this?! BTW, I use a Logitech S530 cordless keyboard and mouse. I've added no new software, and haven't changed anything. NOTHING is set to use F13 apart from Photoshop. Can anyone help, please?

Update: after many an email exchange with the French Logitech support, it appears that LCC is used by all Logitech Keyboards and Mice models, even those sold on the Apple Store. They (Logitech) tell me changing the model wouldn't change anything, that it is a problem that they hope to address with "a next version of LCC"…
But considering the fact Logitech have been aware of this since the launch of Leopard, and were unable to fix the problem in their previous upgrades, i don't hope for much… Except if someone sues them for false advertising on the S530 package. 😉
I would definitely recommend not buying LCC keyboards and mice until further notice as Logitech don't even address the problem in a "known issues" section on their website, and as this Dahsboard problem is not only annoying, but also a bit scary (see my previous entry about the mouse behavior).
I also feel like writing to Apple to point out to this thread to them. How can Apple, with Steve Job's constant appeal to excellence, sell such products when Dashboard is an essential component of Leopard?
