How do I use iPod without Itunes?

I would like to forego the pesky iTunes software and be able to use my Ipod without iTunes. Please help.

Sorry, but iTunes 8.0 addressed the electrocution problem.
Using the iPod without it is not recommended.
I've seen some ugly photos man...be careful...
It's like taking the tag off of a mattress - do you REALLY want to risk it???

Yes, they addressed the electrocution problem, man, but they did not change the fact that rock music will rot your brain dude!

BTW-that was ME in that picture. Ruined my eyes forever. Burned all of my nose hairs out and now they control my mind.
