"where is GrowlHelperApp?" box popping up

Hi, I am running itunes 8.0.2 on a macbook running 10.4.11 and all of sudden everytime i open itunes and frequently when I change songs a choose application menu pops up and says "where is GrowlHelperApp?" I do not have any file by that name on my computer nor have I ever had Growl (that i know of). If i select something else from the menu nothing happens and the box continues to pop up. This is very annoying and I was wondering if anyone knew of a solution for this.
Thank you very much.

I get this message, but I have never installed iconcert cal or any of its updates. I also don't know how to "flip the screen". How do I do that? This screen is mighty big (23") so I'm not sure I can flip it. Can you elaborate as to what iconcert cal is and why I should have it? We all just need a simple solution for this annoying growlhelperapp message. That's what we really want from all this discussion.

I was having this same problem. At startup, the system would ask "Where is Growlhelperapp.app". After several attempts at trying to fix the issue I realized that a program called "Playback" is what is looking for the program at startup. To fix, open Playback and under the General tab, uncheck the boxes "Movies" and "Music" under "Notify via Growl when streaming". This should stop the request at startup!!

What is Growl? How does Dropbox use it?

From Growl's website: "Growl is a notification system for Mac OS X: It allows applications that support Growl to send you notifications." In other words, Growl lets Dropbox notify you of any Dropbox activity right on your desktop. If Dropbox detects Growl is installed on your Mac, it will use it to display all Dropbox notifications.

Growl notifications appear at the top right corner of the screen. A Growl notification will appear whenever new changes are made to the contents of your Dropbox, such as a newly added file or a change to a shared folder.

Note from David:
Therefore, "growlhelperapp" is a support file of Growl, which is placed on your system if you use Dropbox — that is, if you have enabled the Dropbox App.
