Thank you very much.

@Chris CA:
When I did a search for Growl and GrowlHelperApp in the Apple Discussions, I found information that was helpful to me, even though they were several years old.
So, why do you suppose that my comment will not be helpful to others who do a search like I did?
I assure you that I didn't believe my comment would provide an answer to those who asked the question three years ago. I'm sure they got their answer long ago.
But there will be others — like me — who have never had Growl on their computer until recently. With me, it was yesterday, when I installed the Dropbox App at the request of a client. Today, I discovered in my Login Items the file "GrowlHelperApp."
I thought, "What is that? And where did it come from?"
So, I sought answers in these Apple discussions.
I hope my explanation will ease your frowny face, and prompt you to reconsider — with fresh insight — your comment about my three-year-old post.
Very useful comment David... Not really...
Have a look at: http://www.macinside.info/process.php?name=GrowlHelperApp
You will find that you can find the application here:
/Library/PreferencePanes/Growl.prefPane/Contents/Resources
Use that window that you see to browse (button at the bottom) to that location. If you press cmd-shift-G in the browse window, you can also directly copy/paste the path.
Choose the GrowlHelperApp.app and enjoy.
@Arjen: Thank you.
Growl is utilized by many applications. I've just found that Box Simple Share uses Growl. It's looking for the helper app.
For some reason the helper app was never installed. I got growl from the Mac App store. I have no patience for such problems so I disabled Growl notifications in Box Simple Share.
I couldn't find out how to edit my last post, so I'll add this clarification here.
In my case, it was Box Sync, which is related to Box Simple Share and Box.net.
I had downloaded and installed Growl from the Mac App Store, but had never run it. I ran it just now, and got the preferences I needed to make everything work properly.
