Firmware 2.2.1 and bluetooth

I have my iphone 3G paired to a Nokia CK-7W hands free car kit.
After recently updating the firmware to version 2.2.1, the volume coming out of the nokia speakers is significantly reduced to the point where you cannot hear anyone over car noise. Under the previous firmware, volume levels were good. Has anybody else experienced the same problem, or offer any solutions.
Hopefully apple will address this problem in a future update.
Is there a way to revert to the previous firmware addition?

I'm not familiar with this Nokia unit, but I have no problem with people hearing me using Jeep and Toyota built in hands free units, as well as a Plantronics 925 headset. Likewise, I have no problem hearing several other iPhone owners using a variety of built in and add-on handsfree BT units. All of us use 2.2.1 firmware.
