how to burn a Photo CD?

I'd like to export photos to burn to a Photo CD, but the CD apparently holds some INVISIBLE files that show up as "unreadable" when played back on a Sony DVD/Photo CD player. I'm guessing the extra files may be preview images or something, but I'm not sure. Any suggestion of how to burn only the .jpg images to the CD?

Hi farmboy,
I really don't know what those invisible files are. could be DS_store or icon previews. Can you view the Cd fine with those files?
I did come across Dragon Burn which says it can burn Picture Cd's to view on the newer DVD players.
You can download a free trial and see how it works.

Hi. I think if you burn a photo cd from iPhoto then you can only read it with iPhoto. That may account for the unreadable files on the dvd/cd player. What I did was insert a cd, go into the Finder, copy the jpg's, click on the cd in the Finder, paste the pictures and then burn the cd from the Finder. There's another method that involves creating a disk image but I'm not sure how that one works. Good luck.
