No Audio in Mpeg Streamclip

I'm trying to convert files from a dvd recorder in mpeg streamclip to edit in Final Cut Express. It has been working fine until a few weeks ago when the audio from the DVD files are not there. I can play the files in VLC and audio is there but not in MPEG Streamclip. Obviously something has changed on my computer but I don't know what. here is what MPEG streamclip shows under stram info
