iTunes 8.1 syncing issue

Last night I upgraded to 8.1 and when I went to sync my iPod touch 2g this morning it said that "iTunes could not sync calendars to iPod " " because the iPod disconnected. Yesterday I had no problems so I think that it has something to do with the update. Has anyone experienced this too and have you found a way to fix it.

I am having the same sync problem- iTunes cannot sync calendars because the iPod disconnected....

I tried selecting different calendar as my main calendar but that did not work. Is there a way to connect the calendars through MobileMe instead of syncing?

I've had similar issues with my Nano and 8.1. I had to reset the ipod and uninstall iTunes/QT and reinstall 8.0. It's strange that such a widespread problem hasn't been addressed by Apple yet.

Unfortunately the best way is to reset the software on the iPod. That worked for me when nothing else seemed to.

Tried 8.11 and it still is not working. Also, I tried resetting the sync and the calendars and it came back with the same message. Just seeing if anyone else has gotten it to work?
