Borderless printing with iPhoto/Canon iP8600?

Old Toad, I can't get this link to work and I can't get my Canon iP6600 to print a 4x6. Oh, it will print one in the middle of a full sized piece of paper, but I have no options appear to select borderless photos on 4x6 paper.

The post must have expired. Here's a step by step process that works fine with my Canon i850 and Epson R200. It's pretty generic.

1 - crop the photo to 4 x 6 beforehand in iPhoto.
2 - in Page Setup select your printer, proper page orientation and paper size as 4x6 or 4x6 borderless

5 - in the iPhoto print window, select your printer again, select Style = "Standard Prints", Size= 4x6 and click on One photo per page.

Old Toad, thanks. My problem was in not realizing I had to pick the 4X6 paper size in Page Setup. I expected that to be one of the options from the drop down menu in Print.

Now I've been able to print 4X6, but I'm getting a vertical white stripe on right and left sides of the paper with horizontal orientation. I'm losing a half inch of the photo. I cropped it to 4X6 before printing. What's up with that and how do I correct it?

When you crop it to 4x6 make sure you hit the crop button before clicking on the "Done" button. An un-cropped image will show white at either side of the image because the height is sized to read edge to edge and the length will not.

Very helpful. I was having the same problem not being able to print borderless 4x6 photos directly from iPhoto. I didn't realize you had to change the paper size in iPhoto first. Problem solved.
