List of Perl Modules Installed by Default

Hi all,

Is there a list someplace of the default set of Perl modules that are installed with OSX?

Are any additional modules installed with XCodeTools?

Thanks!

@baltwo Thanks for the reply.

So, if for example /Library/Perl/5.8.8/darwin-thread-multi-2level/Text/CSV_XS.pm is present, that was installed by Apple as a default, not via XCodeTools.

I am asking about this module specifically as a colleague with a Macbook Air does not seem to have this particular module present. So if correct, either there has been an update of sorts between the time that he got his and I got mine, or it has found its way on to my Mac by some other means...

AFAICT, the module is part of the standard install. At least, that's what's showing up in the bom file for 10.5.6 and 10.5.6 COMBO installs.

*lsbom /Library/Receipts/boms/com.apple.pkg.update.os.10.5.6.combo.bom*

shows: /System/Library/Perl/5.8.8/

Why it wouldn't be one your colleague's machine, is beyond my ken. Have him reinstall the 10.5.6 COMBO update.

I am trying to connect to mysql from perl. I get the following error:

install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't locate DBD/mysql.pm in @INC (followed by the list of folders in @INC)

Where do I find the driver and how do I install it. The perl sites are full of dire warnings about messing with the Apple perl installation.

mysql is running fine, perl runs fine, but they don't communicate.
