Your pictures aren't detailed enough to show whether or not those are really cracks, and if you can't see them at all indoors, I suspect they're not. But whatever they are, take them to an Apple store or authorized service provider for evaluation. If there's a defect, it will be repaired under your one-year warranty.

Are you referring to the lines in the hinge area? If so, then looking at the second picture you posted, I noticed little white flecks caught between the hinge and display. Whatever these flecks are, they appear to be dragging along the hinge when you open/close the display, creating what look like "chalk lines" that are either scraping or just marring the hinge every time you open and close the display. If the flecks are just marring, then it seems like they could be wiped off.

These are definitely cracks as i have exactly the same after 2 month of using my new MacBook Pro Unibody. Also i've noticed that in the last 2 or 3 weeks the screen became much more loose then when i bought it. Sometimes when the screen at let's say 75 angle and i lift computer up the screen falls back by itself few degrees more.
Looks like it's time for a visit to care center.
Although if it's a heat problem(blows directly on to the plastic hinge) changing it will only be effective until the cracks appear again... Before i was thinking that it might be some kind of factory defect but now i see that I'm not the only one experiencing the same problem. On top of that I've noticed that i get much more beach ball action the before.

Hi Hysa,

I just checked my computer (2-3 weeks old) and I did not notice any markings or cracks like you have shown on your pictures. but i did notice that when i push down on the black plastic strip covering the hinges (where you have the cracks), I do here some crackling sounds particularly on the left side. I was wondering if you or anybody else also has this? thanks.

Did they fix you the black plastic that covers the hinge? ...or did they have to replace the whole screen?

I don't see any crack in mine but, when pressing, I can hear the plastic cracking. It's not dramatically loud, but when closing and opening the screen (and specially when the computer is a bit hot) I can hear it and it feels really cheap and creaky. Not what you expect from such an expensive laptop.

What was your experience? Did they agree on fixing it? I still have mixed feelings about living with it or going to the Apple store and ask to get it fixed.

Thanks!
