Female Mini Display Port Adapter - Connect Monitor to Non Mini Display Port

Anyone know of a Female Mini Display Port Adapter, so I can connect the 24 LED Cinema Display to a computer that has DVI connector? Or hook the monitor up to a KVM, so I can use the monitor with multiple computers?
I know Apple doesn't make these, but does a third party?
Monoline appears to be coming out with adapters to hook a mini display port computer to DVI and HDMI, but not a mini display port monitor to DVI or HDMI.

There is a way to go from DisplayPort to DVI/HDMI because it is a part of the DisplayPort standard. However, there is no way to go from DVI to DisplayPort natively because doing so has never been part of the DVI standard so all the graphics chipsets in existence cannot perform such a translation.

There may someday be an external box that does a translation like that. But figure on it being large and expensive, sort of like the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-link DVI Adapter. Something large and expensive like that. But currently nobody makes one. And I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

HI we have not been in touch directly regarding this extension cable, however thanks to Gene, I did get on your list for I believe at least 3 of these extension cables.
One question, I did have was are you going to include USB and MagSafe Extensions with your extension cables or will I need to buy extensions for the USB part at the least. I am not aware of any extensions for the Magsafe cable, but I could simply use my Macbook Pro's own Power supply with no difficulty at all. THe USB extension is also not really and issue as USB extensions are readily available, I was just curios to know if you were planning on providing a complete Extension cable for these troublesome connectors, or if you were concentrating solely on providing the Video and whatever else it drives component of this cable.
Appreciate the fact that you are even planning making one.

Stuart,

As far as I know there isn't any magsafe extension. I'm not sure that third parties can make it as I believe the connector is patented by Apple and I haven't heard of them releasing it like they did with mini displayport. For USB there are many solutions. We do have some shorter USB extension cables on our website that can be purchased at the same time you buy the extension cables. Also, since we're planning on adding the 15 foot extensions soon, I think I'm going to add some 16 foot repeater USB cables to the site to go along with those.

The usb cables are male to female.

Hope this answers your question!
