Can I duplicate DVD's using iDVD or iMovie?

I just purchased the 2009 version of iLife. Is there a program within the software that will allow me to duplicate DVD disks (these aren't copyright protected just home movies from my camcorder) using my internal DVD writer?

Aluminum MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.5), 15/2.4/2X1GB/250/SD

You can't with idvd. You can't import a dvd into imovie or idvd. You can by buying a third party software program such as Toast 10 (about $100).

You can use 'Disk Utility' (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) to make a disk image of your DVD, then burn that image to a blank DVD. No additional software needed.

Rather than buying Toast, which is a good program, you could download the free software called handbrake. This is a really great tool to use for backing up DVD movies or converting them to a format for your iPod. (http://handbrake.fr/)
