MacBook Battery Won't Charge...Get "Not Charging"
Anyone have new info on this...frustrated...battery is just over a year old.
iMac 20" Intel (Early 2006); PowerBook Pro 17", MacBook, iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

I was hoping I wouldn't find another user as low a charge cycle count as mine. I went 17 cycles and now it's dead. 😟
From your reading, I have the impression that you did not buy the original, but a third party battery.
maybe...i mean i bought that right off apple's website but idk. i might take it in this week and see what they say. thanks for your reply 🙂
keep us informed about the result of your visit.

.
remleych: your battery has had a very long life (1024 cycles is more than specification), It has to be replaced. 😟
Thanks Lexschelling, I don't mind replacing it knowing that is where the issue lies. Thanks again for the help!
I have the same problem. I left it for about 2 weeks, after that, it didn't work.
can any one of u tell me where the battery update is available...i am running out with this battery not charging problem...please help me out!
Hi! all. I have tried the battery update & SMC reset but my macbook battery is still not charging. Cycle count is 149. Please help.
Late reply, but perhaps will help newer users of Apple Discussions: Apple does not read these forums.
I have the same issue with Macbook 4,1 (Early 2008)
The charger indicator is green but battery status is always displayed as "Battery is not charging". 😟
For me the solution was to get the proper charger: the MacBook Air charger is not powerful enough...you have to use the power cable for the MacBook Pro, which is a bit bigger.
This is ridiculous that everyone has this problem
that's awful!
