MacBook Battery Won't Charge...Get "Not Charging"
Anyone have new info on this...frustrated...battery is just over a year old.
iMac 20" Intel (Early 2006); PowerBook Pro 17", MacBook, iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Me too. I have a broken charger (85v) and a still working MacBook. The battery won't charge.
Have you got another battery?
The new power cord you have is a MagSafe 2? Or the 1st gen version?
The battery is not functioning properly, and my computer's charger is broken. I have a MagSafe 1 charger, 80 watts.
That did it for me. You ROCK!
My new MacBook went 11 cycles and died. I replaced it with an Anker battery -- got to be better than an Apple.
Thats why I'will love a Macbook, don't use battery if you want "All The Power You Want, All Day Long". Pray to God to find the solutions...
Johnathon's suggestion to slam the battery in worked for me too - no idea why. Any guess as to what the explanation could be?
I'm holding the power button for eternity now. Still no hope!
I did the same hting and it worked.
Strangely this also worked for me.
Great relief.
Thank you.
And what helped the most? Banging the charger or cleaning it? 🙂 🙂
