Shipping a Macbook

UPS and FedEx outlets can sell you suitable shipping boxes. You can use the original box as long as you have the shock protection foam that was included.

Do you think the Original box wrapped in some brown shipping paper would hold up?

Well considering it already held up in previous shipments, I'd say the obvious answer would be yes.

The US Post Office has a nice box used for Priority Mail. You should probably wrap the computer in bubble wrap, or pad it with crumpled newspapers so that it is well cushioned. Priority Mail will get the package anywhere in the US in good time for a flat rate of under $10.

If you put your box inside another box with at least 4 inches of padding (bubble wrap, newspaper) on all sides, and the item gets damaged you are covered. If you do not have 4 inches of padding all the way around the computer they can blame your packaging and refuse to pay damages. If you bought it thru the mail you may remember that that is how it came.

It most likely won't get damaged if you package it in only the retail box but if it does...
