Password Problems: The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found

I have the current version of iTunes. I have tried resetting my password.

However, I continue to get this error message when I try to log in and purchase something from iTunes: "The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect. Please try again."

Is this a server issue, as this page suggests ( http://www.razorianfly.com/2008/breaking-apple-experience-major-server-issues-wo rldwide/) -- Does anyone know how to fix this?

Same problem here as well, had pretty bad connectivity issues earlier where the network connection kept failing with the same silly error. Now its connecting, however its not recognizing my apple ID in the store (although it does everywhere else). Just bothered to create an actual itunes store account for the first time in the 5 years I've owned an iPod and the servers are acting erratically... go figure.

I am having this issue as well, verified the un/pass were okay on other apple sites, reset the password. Issue persists. Happens on my iPhone, iTunes and Apple TV.

This really is really annoying, wanted to buy some stuff tonight and can't!

Just got this issue whilst trying to update some of my apps on my touch... I hope this issue can be resolved by apple quickly. I have verified my ID and password; clearly they are correct because I just made this forum account using it!

It's working for me now 🙂 Hopefully anyone else with the problem too! I guess it's just the iTunes server having problems.

Finally! I don't think I've gone crazy lol

I've been having problems logging in all day. I've changed my password like 4 times, and can't get in yet.

You'd think they'd let me in, because I owe them $6.90...lol

EDIT: As of 9:17PM EDT, I can get in. YAY!

Jared_iTunes, you might be having problems because of the new iTS TOS. It says you have to physically be in the country to use that country's store, and Apple will check that you are.

From the UK terms:
+Purchases and rentals (as applicable) from the iTunes Store are available to you only in the UK. If you are not in the UK you may not use or attempt to use the service. iTunes may use technologies to verify such compliance.+

From the Spanish terms:
+Las compras en iTunes Store se encuentran a su disposición exclusivamente en España. Si Ud. no se encuentra en España, no podrá usar o intentar usar el servicio a través de esta página web. iTunes podrá emplear tecnologías para verificar este cumplimiento.+
