I used a $15 dollar gift card, but for some reason i can't buy anything

I redeemed it, and it says $15 on the top side of my itunes screen, but everytime i try to update my ipod touch to the lastest software for $9.99, it never works. I clicked buy now, and put in all my info, but i dont have a credit card or nothing, so i clicked "none" for payment method, but what about my gift card? How do I use my gift card money?

So you would be happier if they were limited to when you can watch them?

Ok listen, I can watch south park on the internet for FREE, why should I waste $15 on that, because I wanted Apps, not videos or music. I had no choice but to buy music or videos, so I chose the videos.
