All of the sudden, when iTunes opens on my MacBook, the iTunes app is too-big to fit in the MacBook's display. Specifically, the bottom is beyond the display. It's just too far below the display to reach the resizing area in the bottom-right.
I've tried trashing preferences, and did update to 8.1.1. So-far, only iTunes is affected (Safari runs just fine, within the MacBook's display).
Any ideas?
iMac 2.8 GHz, 4GB; MacBook 2.4 GHz, 4GB;,
Mac OS X (10.5.6),
AEBS 802.11n; AEBS 802.11g; 4GB iPod nano
This AppleScript will cahnge the window size and center it.
tell application "Finder"
set {d1, d2, d3, d4} to (get bounds of window of desktop)
end tell
tell application "iTunes"
set margins to {d1 + 10, d2 + 54, d3 - 10, d4 - 148}
set bounds of window 1 to margins
end tell
When I hold down the option key nothing happens. Can you give me a step by step explanation of how you fixed your computer? My issue started when I disconnected a larger monitor from my Macbook , and now my window has a 1 inch black border on either side of the page rather than opening to the size of the entire screen.
Easier solution - press the Option key whilst clicking on the green resize button - one to change to mini-player, then again to resize to a size that fits the screen properly.
Have you tried clicking on window, then zoom in the menu bar? Try that a couple of times and see if it resizes the window to were you can drag it again.
I usually connect to a large external display and when I disconnect from that I find many windows are too big for the MacBook's screen. But this simple tip has helped heaps.
