What is the BEST usb audio interface for the aluminum 2.4 ghz macbook

i went to my local guitar center and ended up purchasing an m-audio interface. The thing blows, will not work with garage band at all. Drivers wont install correctly, and i have heard other mac users with this problem.

Im going to return it tomorrow and purchase something different, any suggestions?

I've had a m-audio USB interface - it was ok until the headphone preamp crapped out. I have a older model Tascam US-122 that has worked flawlessly with Garageband, Logic, and Ableton Live 7. I also have UAD cards in my system that I use. I haven't tried one of the newer units, but they are USB 2, so they can sample at a higher frequency. I think that the EMU-0404 probably has some of the better preamps in their design. I was thinking about going hat route when my US-122 stops working (dies or is rendered obsolete by an OS upgrade on Apple's part)- but so far it has been working just fine.
