After upgrading to Tiger, I have noticed that the scrollbar in Safari often
has graphic display problems. It looks as though the bar breaks into two parts..
What can this be?
Weird that they can't seem to fix this, after all it's 10.4.2 already...I'd be really embarrased if I'd be the programmer. Also, are all the Apple people using Safari and cool with it? Or are they using Firefox?
No enhancers.
Different user accounts...not sure but I installed Tiger in various forms three times already and the problem was persistent.
I've seen other threads about it, some with links to pages that provoke it.
I didn't keep track, but this one does it on my machine:
http://derstandard.at/
Other pages break it up more severly...Safari seems to forget to refresh the bar while still loading content.
Both sites that you mentioned load the scrollbar fine on my iMac.
Can you both try the other user account step to see if the same thing happens there (it only take a minute to create one and helps narrow down the possible causes).
At the moment it sounds like some kind of graphics driver problem.
Takes only a minute to create, but can I get rid of it as easily?
Jenelle your page doesn't break up my scrollbar either, but if you ask me the popup menu (or description) when I roll over the menus is quite in a weird place...
that is the problem - the popups (pull downs) get dislocated in Safari - not in other browsers - it should be adjacent to navigation bar, sort of pull down menu for pages. For some reason it floats on its own....
