Safari 2 scrollbar breaks into 2 parts

After upgrading to Tiger, I have noticed that the scrollbar in Safari often
has graphic display problems. It looks as though the bar breaks into two parts..
What can this be?

Happens to me on occasion using Safari 1.3 (OS 10.3.9). It actually happened with more frequency in earlier versions of Safari.

I see this issue all the time in Safari 1.3 - also where the text of a site overlaps or is cut off - scrolling down the page doesn't help, only thing that seems to do anything is to highlight the text in the page, then just click on the page. This seems to fix it, but what a pain - also the lags in scrolling, I end up clicking on the wrong links quite often - again a giant pain...

Same problem here. I see this a LOT in gmail with long conversations. Haven't seen it in any other site yet. It appears to be a driver issue for the graphics card though - I can only reproduce it on my 15" pbook, not my old 'unsupported' 8600.
