Samson USB Microphone & Logic Pro 8

I use a samson USB mic and its easy to use with garageband and sound track as under preferences you can click preferred input drop down and it comes up as an option. In Logic Pro however the only input options are built in mic or built in input. None of the these picks up the samson audio input. Can anyone help with this?

You might have to make an "aggregate device" in Audio/MIDI setup. This will combine the Samson mic Input with the built in audio.

The reason for this is that there is no actual "audio out" for a Mic. Logic is not yet smart enough to use the internal audio as an output so a combination device must be created. Once the aggregate device is created you may have to experiment in Logic to find which input your mic is.

Don't have time to walk you through it but serch this forum using aggregate device, or aggregate and you should find plenty of info.
