I am having trouble and I cant seem to get anybody.
I am using Logic Pro 8 with my MPC as a sound module. I have my midi hooked up correctly and I can record sounds into my MPC, but Logic will not quantize on beat with my MPC's metronome.
When ever I record midi from Logic the first 2 bars are always off beat. For instance I hit the kick and then the snare on tempo with MPC's metronome, but when I play it back the snare always comes in off beat.
I have changed the buffer size and tried all of them. The lower the buffer size the more delay in the MPC when I press play so I use 1024 because there is no delay.
My MPC works fine because when I use midi from my Triton I dont get this problem
and when I use Pro Tools 8 sounds with Reason this does not happen.
I love Logic and I love Logics sounds, but I am being forced to use Pro Tools 8 because I have to use my MPC as my sequencer.
I am thinking about uninstalling Logic 8 and reinstalling because I know people who have the same setup, but not the same problems.
I use core audio with a MBox 1. I have 2 Gigs of RAM. Do I need more RAM or do I need to uninstall. Please help!!!!

I have beat clock enabled. It has nothing to do with my MPC. Its all Logic and I have the same exact setup as the people I know. The only difference is they have a Mac Pro with more RAM and I have a G 5 with less RAM. The bigger the buffer size the more delay, this I know, but when I press play in the MPC there is a delay before I hear any sound when I lower the buffer. I have no problem syncing MPC as a slave and recording my audio or midi into Logic, I have a problem using Logics sounds in the MPC. When I produce a track with Logic and my MPC i normally have to delete the first 2 bars and loop the last 2 bars to replace the first 2 which are off beat. Logic sequencer is not as authentic as the MPC so its not an option for me. It has to be a way to get this on track. Im not trying to compare Logic to Pro tools, I was just stating that its not my MPC because it works well with other programs. Don't make excuses for Logics faults saying your rocket flies and your car doesn't, give solutions or a better program. Also, why should I have to compromise the way I use my equipment because the program is not working correctly.
