How to downgrade 5G firmware from 1.3

I have a battery pack that always work with my old ipod. When I upgraded firmware it now shows that my battery pack is not supported accessory.

How do I find the older firmwares and how do I install it.

I am using an older Macbook to sync.

Mac Mini 1.42, Macbook 2Ghz, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

If you have the previous version still on your computer, try this.

Remove the latest update from the iTunes/iPod updates folder.

On a Mac this is found in (name of)user/library/iTunes/iPod software updates.

Then prevent iTunes from checking the internet for a new update (preferences/general and remove the check mark from "check for updates automatically), then click restore. Or simply disconnect your modem from the computer.

You should then be asked if you want to use the previous version of the iPod software.

If you don't have the software on your computer, then it's going to be difficult if not impossible because Apple don't host older iPod software versions and are very aggressive at taking down 3rd party sites which do.
