RAW Camera support for Canon EOS 500D?

I just bought the Canon EOS 500D and now Aperture returns an "unsupported image format" when I shoot in RAW. I have the latest RAWCameraUpdate.pkg with version 2.5.
Still nothing.
Help!?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.6), Canon EOS 500D

As I wait also for 500D support, I have tried DNG conversion from Adobe...well it doesn't work either yet, nor does importing into Adobe Lightroom as a DNG. So right now it seems the RAW files are totally useless.

Adobe has a RC (release candidate) of Camera Raw 5.4 and the DNG Converter 5.4 that includes Canon 500D/T1i support. Its not yet a public release, they are looking for people like you to test it in the wild. You'll need PS CS4, Bridge CS4, or Lightroom 2.4 to test it; they specifically point out that this RC won't work with PS Elements. The DNG files might (or might not) be readable by previous version of PS or Lightroom. No idea whether Aperture can read the DNG files, but it probably wouldn't hurt to test it yourself since you'd be dealing with a copy anyway.
