how to draw parenthesis or brackets in keynotes

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows how to draw brackets or parenthesis in keynote.
Also, is there a way to save shapes that I have drawn in a presentation to use it in another one?

Welcome to the discussions, gabysun.

I've got several sets of shapes in presentations that I've saved off. Whenever I need one, I open it, copy and paste the shape into the presentation I need, then close that presentation. It works well and, with QuickLook, you can see what all the shapes are before you open the file. It's quite handy.

Is there a problem with just using the characters as very large font characters?

If you really need them as drawings, use a vector program to outline the characters and save as either a pdf which you can drag into any iWork document, or use svg2key to convert .svg versions into Keynote documents which will then contain Shapes of the characters.
