exporting and exporting .tga files help please

Hi there!

I need to export my sequence to .tga files for my mate to import to additions then he wuill send back as .tga files.

I am doing a test, I exported to tga using quicktime, to a folder. Looked in the folder, there are loats of sequetial files. Nice.

Now time to import them, so in my fcp I import the folder in to the bin and yes I can see them. As there are lots of them and I dont wish to put one down one by one, hoe do you fet them on the sequence line?

I tried grabbing them all and dragging on to the timelime and it was not having anyof it. I then grabbed one file it didnt want to take theat either.

Is there a way I can tell it to import based on that its a animation so put it all down as one stream? ( avid liquid used to )

If not what is the best way to import tga files,

Much appreciated,

Regards

You can set the still frame/import graphic default to 1 frame, but there's a much better way to do this. Use Quicktime to "import image sequence." It will create a movie and you do a save and it saves with the native compressor of the graphic files (unless you change the codec). This is a much better way to work than importing all the image files in fcp. FCP will start to choke with that many individual files (this is the voice of experience speaking).
